4-day workshop that provides participants with the content knowledge and advocacy skills to improve public education in North Carolina.
- Learn how federal laws such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and No Child Left Behind
(NCLB) can be used to maximize your child’s access to education.
- Learn how you can work to change practices and policies around short-term and long-term school suspensions.
- Learn what the Leandro court decision means to your child’s education and how to ensure that every child has an equal opportunity to receive the sound basic education mandated by our state constitution.
- Learn how to become a part of an organized movement to improve the quality of public education in North Carolina.
